It is all together possible that the Brimar you have is a Mullard made tube . Brimar did make some of it's own however later ones were almost all Mullard which was owned by Phillips. The way to know is to look for the acid etch code a very small alphanumeric code that does not wash off. If it is a Mullard it will generally be kind of dirty grey and have a B for the Blackburn plant and an H for the Mitcham (don't ask I don't know). The code is usually found towards on end or other but can be seen anywhere. Use a magnifying glass and do a search an AA serach Mullard codes.
