Can I run my GE 6550A in my Mark III? The spec says no but I have heard of many who do. The plate would sit at around 500 to 515 volts with the 100 ohm resistor going to g2. I think the spec is around 450V but maybe 500V max for triode mode at the plate but -- for the screen. I would like to compare them to my KT88SC Penta/Shuguang but I don't want to fry them.
