Hi, I own and have been running these in a triode PP configuration for a few years now. I also own a quad of JAN Syl 6B4G's. My opinion is such: the Sovteks have a bigger midrange with more detail and sound smoother and more balanced to me then the Syl's. I prefer the Sovteks. Both sets are a bit "hummy" and care has to be taken on where they are placed in the configuration to get the lowest noise out of them. I use them with Moth Cicada's and Lowther DX3 Fidelio's.
