I got mine from years of shooting, and have a lot of ringing. I haven't worn my hearing aid for a few years, don't think I would like music through it very much. Wife complains a lot about my saying huh?I am leaning toward more power to start with, but my speakers are pretty efficient (Altec Valencias, Klipsch RB-5 & Heresey). The altecs sound considerably louder, and I really love them. I have them wide apart at the back of the garage, turn them up and sit outside with my pipe and a snifter of single malt scotch...I live in the woods about 1/5 mile from nearest neighbor. Love being retired...
