Funny you mention this - I had goofy readings on a ST 70 a couple years ago, and that did indeed turn out to be the tube socket... man, that would be nice if this were a similar problem. How much do you want for your sockets? I'm a little tempted to go with ceramic or teflon, if I'm going to change them (that's what I did with the dynaco).
