There were three type of KT90, I tried KT90II and I like it very much, it is better than all current prodtion of 6550 and KT88, but since type II, there were some production QC Problems wityh Ei. buy type II if you come accross. It has very good bass, extend high, good image depth and width. Sweet mids also.
EH also make KT90, a lot people claim it is not as nice as Ei KT90II.
