Thanks for the reply......the four that I do have in their original box and unused have the complete codes as VR6 Delta5G2 and all four tubes have those exact same batch numbers etched on all four tubes. I just found it curious that the recent pair I have bought do not have the VR* designation. Another curious aspect to one of the new tubes is that although the internal constructions are identical to each other and to the quad I have owned, one tube of the new pair has the ring getter/splash guard attched to the top plates 180 degrees out from the other tubes? Kinda strange.......Bal
