EL34 Longevity

Just noted that after going through EL34s much faster than I would have liked and having some take out the cathode resistor as well, I think I finally got a whole year in on one set of tubes finally to my Anthem AMP-1, which I now bias at 25 ma and which I use to bias at 40 ma or even 50ma at one time.

I said to myself, that these are the tubes I want to continue using and when I opened up the amp, I found a mishmash of all the tubes I have ever owned for that amp that didn't go kabluk the first time. So, I was using tubes that had practically two years on them.

So question: Should I weed out the bad tube and continue using the old tubes or opt for a new set, knowing that they may last no longer or even less, actually?
