I bought it with the understanding that it was working - apparently, that is not the case. I didn't want something with problems that I'd have to troubleshoot, because I don't have the knowledge - I'll have to pay someone to fix it.The hum, I think, is coming from the bottom of the power transformer. When I turn on the unit, it takes a few seconds for the hum to warm up, then it sounds like the water pump in a desktop water fountain, and the hum is transferred to the speakers.
