Retubing TAD 1000 monoblocks with EL34's

Time has come to re-tube,I tried JJ KT77's but flashbulbs are more reliable. Since I need an octet of tubes cost tends to make me stay with the EL34 type, though KT88's,6550's and KT90's are an option. I would like opinions of the "new" Mullards and the EH 6ca7. The 6V6's are the original Sinos and am curious if changing them out would offer any improvement.

The drivers are Raytheon 5751 blackplates I got from Jim McShane a while back,of whom I can't speak highly enough.
The rest of the system is:
Audcom AP120 (TAD150) pre with Ei Elite 12ax7's
Rega Apollo CD player
and my venerable and well tweaked Dahlquist DQ10's

Main music is jazz

Thanks in advance,
John
