First time tube rolling.
Just got the Seimans El34's german black plate single halo (labeled RFK). I'm replacing JJ's. Big difference, much smoother, my horns dont glare as much I also noticed better imaging and more defined bass and instruments stand out better.
I did notice they have lower gain, I'd almost say 1.5db. The JJ are hotter. If I was going to rock out I would put the JJ's back in but for crital listening these are great.
Almost like a differnt amp. I can only image what some NOS Mullards or other highly recomended tube sounds like
