Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ

your participation and thoughts requested on vintage tube gear I purchased

Hello all,

As this forum is very large, and perhaps folks may tend to stay in one or two forums and not others, nor have I figured out how to see "new threads" across any forum, I thought I'd ask for participation in this other closely related forum.

I posted a few threads in the Vintage forum starting off with the title "Hoping for a History Leason ...". The question on the Bell & Howell was answered in a manner I didn't imagine and was very enlightening. The question on the Dukane was answered very informatively in a more traditional light and has spurred some debate, which is equally informational and helpful. However the Bogen amp hasn't 'gotten any love'.

I'm hoping readers of this Tubes Asylum that don't check in and read the Vintage forum might participate and offer their insight on some of the amps that don't get discussed often (the B&H and moreso the Bogen; the Dukane 1a475 is doing just fine )

(sorry, I don't know how I get my URLs to get parsed and included as anchor links on this forum's software)

Bogen 125w monoblock amp from the 40's thread:

(I can't seem to find any discussion about this amp anywhere across various boards)

Bell & Howell 6V6 Cinema amp thread:
http://www.audioasylum.com/forums/vintage/messages/141909.html

Dukane 1A475 thread:
http://www.audioasylum.com/forums/vintage/messages/141908.html

(between this thread, another linked to by Steve O, and others I've read, I think I have a pretty good handle on this amp's 'back-story').
