Re: Siemens CCa

I have read an article from The Hong Kong Tube Audio Club. The author mentioned the early version CCas are better.
My observation is: any early versions do not have the metal tag are better. Try to look for CCas with an ink-stamped date code.
I remember reading an article also from HKTAC, CCas with date code A12,13 and 14 sound better. However, I cannot find the same article. My memory may not be accurate. If I made a mistake, I have to apologise, I have no intention of giving false info to you or anyone reading this thread.
If you can get D-shaped getter CCas, they shoud sound terrific.Period. If not, try to look for any CCas from the '60 with a grey shield that do not have a dimpled getter support, not copper rod, and not A frame.
