Tubes Asylum Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ |
|
I have read that many tubes of the same model made by the same manufacturer had many differences in sonic qualities. The manufacturer of my preamp highly recommends the Siemens Cca, early 60's, grey plates to be the best that they've found for their preamp. Assuming this, what in your opinion is the best version of the Siemens Cca? Any particular year, month, batch, etc. that somehow was perfected by the Siemen's elves who made that magical Cca in the Black Forest? That "one" magical Cca that never was matched in sonic performance afterwards.
