Speaker Connections to Stereo Amp Run in Mono

I have a quick, simple question. My old CJ MV-75s can be switched for either stereo to mono operation, similar to the way other amps do it, like the Dynaco ST-70. To operate in mono, flip the stereo/mono switch to mono, strap the appropriate speaker outputs, connect inputs and speakers.

I have a question about biwire speaker connection in mono operation. Of course, being a stereo amplifier, the amplifier has two sets of speaker terminals. Can/should/must speaker connections be made on speaker terminals of the same side, or different sides, of the amplifier? I think there shouldn't be any difference between either type of speaker connection, but I'm just checkin'...
