Some questions on the I-177-B tube tester

Hey,
i've got this nice tube tester and i want to test some tubes wich are not listed in the manual or in Nolan Lee's excell sheet. (wich can be found here: http://www.acadiacom.net/nlee/i177_index.html )
i know this is a good tester and i'm sure that what i want is perfectly possible, it's just the way how to do it that might be a little tricky at first. that's why i need some help with this.

i have built the adapter box so i can get any connection for any tube base i want. filament
voltages are in the tubes datasheet so that's no problem either. it's
the L and R pot settings that i need to know. i'm sure there is a way
to calculate these settings for any tube but i haven't found out how
yet :p
tube test data i'm interested in are especially guitar amplifier tubes
i use a lot like EL34, EL84, ECL86, EF86, GZ34, EZ81, EZ80, KT88,
KT66...

i'm also interested in how to calibrate this tester. i'll probably mod
it a bit too to have various testing points to monitor settings with my
digital multimeter and i'm going to add 2 diodes on the back of the
panelmeter as indicated on Nolans website. and when i can calibrate it,
i might as well put some fresh caps in there as well.

i hope you can help me with this,

greets,
Bert

(oh and buying an other tube tester is not really an option since i don't have the money, i graduate in a couple of months but now i don't have the time to work and get some money besides some jobs in the summer)
