CAT SL-1 tube troubles anyone???

I have a question for any CAT SL-1 owners. When I purchased some tubes through Upscale Audio, Kevin stated in regards to my request that the NOS tubes I was interested in (Mullard 12AX7/M8137 and Ediswan CV2492/6922s), "If you're planning on using these tubes in a CAT preamp, I cannot warranty them. That preamp runs those tubes too hard."
Does anyone have any experience with tube problems with the CAT SL-1? Any idea what causes the problems if experienced. With Kevin's knowledge I certainly don't doubt his statement, but other than trouble finding tubes that are quiet enough for the input of the line stage, I haven't had tube problems with this pre-amp. He recommended the "more durable" 6H23 tubes. Anyone have any insight?
