I was using them more for tone. The Prologue 2 is pretty much neutral - I was using it with EL34s, which helped give it a little more midrange fullness (with Merlin VSM-MXs, which Bobby says are perfectly mated to the EL34) and also to get more top and bottom end extension. With the EL34, the Prologue 2 seemed to fall between PP and SET in character.
