Re: Fisher X101B blowing the 5AR4 rectifier

Pretty much as has been posted, but if you are not technically inclined or pretty new to this, take it to a tech. I highly recommend getting a matching can cap, as close as possible, and making up any differences with caps underneath, you will probably need those ties points on the can, doing without those can lead to more problems of loose lines and components, something I run into with vintage radio repairs that I do and can short out, causing severe problems or even a fire! Like I said, if you haven't done this before and are not technically inclined, give it to a tech to do so that it right and so it will not cause problems down the road...
