Problem solved. 220 ohms read across resistor R3 and from R3 to pin 1. But reading from resistor to pin9 the resistance was infinite. Assuming poor pin contact, I inserted and reinserted the tube in Socket V1 until the resistance was read at pin 9. For good measure re-soldered all connections to the socket. Thanks for your help. I was quite confused how the resistor was “good†but still had a problem. Always glad to lean something!will get some cleaner and take care of those sockets.
