My CD player is 3 month old Rega Saturn which I do not intend changing, and I also use analogue inputs from a FM tuner and occasionaly from a DVD player. I do not want to go down the DAC route and do not have any digital cables, there are also power supply considerations together with product support in the UK.
I like the lateral thinking approach though and have considered a CDP with built in pre, but prefer the versatility of a seperate pre-amp.
