Hello All,
I'm retubing my Audio Innovations 1000 tubed monblocs, and would greatly appreciate some advice.
Power output tubes....I'm seriously considering Winged C Svetlana EL34's...good choice?
Small signal tubes...looking for recommendations for both ECC88's, and ECC82's. The amps presently are tubed with "Precision" tubes, about which I can find no information whatsoever.
A couple of caveats, I can't afford NOS, don't want to add any more "warmth" to an already warm all tube system, and would like a touch more "3D..."the-band-is-in-the-room sense of reality.
Details: My modest system consists of Arcam Alpha 8 CDP, Audio Innovations Tubed Linestage, 2 AI 60 wpc Model 1000 tubed monoblocs, Jamo Concert 8 speakers, Carver Sunfire True Subwoofer, Kimber SilverStreak Interconnects, NVA Speaker cables.
Room is smallish, listen to Jazz, Blues...no rap or metal, at moderately loud levels.....as the wife permits.
