I have not been an Audio Note fan long enough to know these models. I believe the best initial investment in Audio Note equipment is either at the source or the speaker end + ICs and speaker cables. The new Transport 1 and CDPs with the Sony drives will be coming out this month or January. AN Lexus speaker cable is a best buy for the money as are AN-V or even Lexus interconnects.Two good SS substitutes to fit in between the source and speakers for the time being are Sugden A21 and Blue Circle CS. You will not be disappointed. I imported my CS from Canada to Copenhagen. The dollar is very low!!!!!
