I'm sorry, but how can you be so sure that the seller knows that? If "everyone" knew that, would people have bid so much for them?We don't "all know". Obviously there was a point where you didn't know - either that or you did know and still went ahead and bought them.
In fact, you know what? Screw this whole thing. There is clearly no place here for a reasonable approach anymore. It's not conceivable to you that it could be an honest mistake? I hate to have to break the news to you, but not every seller is out to screw every buyer.
