I received a Unison Research Sinfonia integrated amplifier to be used with Silverlibne Sonata-III and Nightingale Concentus Lyra speakers. In addition to power tubes (Sovtek KT88), it is equipped with two Electro Harmonix ECC82 and two Electro Harmonix ECC83 tubes.
Are they decent tubes or should I order NOS tubes? Do ECC83 tubes influence the sound?
As regards ECC82/12AU7 tubes, I have Mullard CV4003, GE 5814 three mica grey plates and RCA 6189 three mica black plates.
I'm just hesitating to start the tube-rolling madness. Thde amp sounds fantastic, if a bit dry.
Any advice will be appreciated!
