JJ KT77s - Problems fixed?

Anyone recently order a quad of KT77s?

I'm curious to see if the Quality Control problems have been fixed. I hear the pin size is now resolved, but are the other issues that Jim McShane highlighted (tilted bottles, mica fragments, rattles, etc) still a problem?

I need to order a new set of EL34-types for my VTL ST-85. I was hoping to experiment with the KT77s if those problems are fixed (and compare them with my current EH EL34s). If not, I'll revert to "stock" and pick up some SEDs, which the amp originally came with and which sounded great.

And, if those issues ARE fixed, what vendor were they ordered from? I certainly don't want to place an order and get an old batch...
