Tubes Asylum Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ |
|
Hello,Since upgrading my speakers to smaller monitors where bass is not the priority ( go down to 70hz) , I'm not satisfied with the sound I'm getting from my cold sounding SS integrated... I hooked up my dads audion silver knight 300B PP 25wpc mono blocks , and it's pure magic!!
What I'm looking for in a tube amp is a nice full sounding midrange and smooth highs , the midrange needs to sound full enough to compensate the lack of bass. (like my dads 300B's) I listen to rock , jazz, pop, classical ........ everything actually.
I live in europe, with my low budget it's not easy to get a tube amp here , so I want to get something from china ... My eyes have fallen on the following tube amps:
Jolida JD102B 432 dollars ( all prices incl. shipping)
Jolida JD202s 554 dollars
Mingda mc84a 366 dollars
cayin mt 12a 400 dollars
mingda mc34aII 430 dollars
Xiansheng (music curve) d2020a kt88/el34 567 dollarsWhat do you think? My speakers are fairly tube friendly (90db/8ohms and no LF network), they go to earsplitting levels in my small room. ( 12x12) and in the bigger living room it's the same with the 25wpc pp 300B's.
A nice extra would be auto bias or external bias adjustment.
Looking forward to your comments/ Robert
