Larry, I have a Fisher X-100B that uses a 7168 tube, similar to your EL84 tube, probably built around the time your Scott was made, early 60's. It is an integrated that has been modified to an amp only. I couple that to a Marantz 7 preamp and like you said, what a pleasure. My main system is an actively bi-amped SET that costs....., well lets just say more than I care to admit to, when I put the Fisher and Marantz in the mix with a good turntable, it just makes music. I can listen all day and in some cases well into the night. I don't critique, I just listen to the recordings. What has been learned in the last 40+ years? The fisher might not be the last in terms of this or that but it does make great music. Glad to here of you success................Bob
