When that envelope breaks, the sh*t hits the fan.If you're going to use tubes with Hg inside the envelope, a supply of powdered Zinc or powdered Sulfur MUST be readily available. Either powder will sequester loose Hg.
Breathing the vapor loose Hg produces is a LOT worse than eating something with a low level of contamination.
To each his own. There'll be NO envelopes with Hg in them in my home.
