It depends on whether 3.5 and 27 dB refer to gain or feedback. 27 dB gain will sound about 4 times louder than 3.5 dB gain, whereas 27 dB feedback will sound about 4 times softer than 3.5 dB gain for the same volume setting.The simple way is to play something at 3.5 eB, then play the same thing at 27 dB without changing the volume control setting. Whichever setting sounds the loudest is the lowest feedback.
