What makes high prices?
1. People are willing to pay high prices
2. The supply is limited (or they cost a lot ot make)
3. There are very few or no close substitutesIn this situation, at some point the substitution factor kicks in and the market produces substitutes (tubes and amps).
People who try to corner markets usually get nailed by substitution in the long-run, but in the short run can make high profits.
