If you want the schematic, I can post it, but I run my VTL Ultimate with the phono tubes removed (as I sadly don't currently have a 'table in the system) with no ill effect.Simple explanation: all the tube heaters in each channel are fed in parallel from a regulated supply which is happy to power any combination of the tubes in the given channel.
