Sorry to rain on anybody's parade, but -

The CJ PV10 is not hard on tubes.

And I've tried many. Trust me. Only one pair out of ??? dozens? that I tried was microphonic.

Also, the Mullard CV4003's that I obtained from Kevin were some of the worst-sounding tubes that I tried in my PV10.

The best were -- no contest here -- Amperex Holland-made tubes from the late 1950s.

To be fair, when I say "worst-sounding", I don't mean the Mullard CV4003's sounded terrible. However, they were less musical, less warm and less real/natural sounding than most of the others I tried.
