One of great tubes in the 12AU7/ECC82 family. For me, this mid-1950s vintage CBS/Hytron 5814A (I've got a couple of early ones that are straight up 5814s) has been perhaps the most consistent performer across different systems. I can always count on it to make the short list of favorite tubes in the linestage of my CJ PV-12A regardless of the system this preamp finds itself in.- SJ
