Tubes Asylum Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ |
|
Hi Jim,
I have a question about matching output tubes. My Citation II's are rebuilt using closely matched resistors, and the bias adjust pots
are all quite close in value. Now the question. If the bias adjust pots are adjusted to the same point visually, ie the screwdriver slot in the shafts are in the same position, is this an indication of a nicley matched pair of tubes at the operating point they are set? Can you think of any condition where every thing in the amp is closley matched, the bias pots are set to the same point and the tubes are not matched?
I also want to say "THANKS", I have your Level 2 Plus kit installed in a previously referbed amp for better than a month, you have taken a most amazing amplifier and made it just a little more amazing! Any more majic up your sleeve for this amp?
