Motorola didn't produce any tubes to my knowledge. Look for a EIA code - usually six digits, but maybe only three. Also, the number - an octagon is usually RCA (sometimes Tung-Sol). Etched nymber with USA underneath is often Sylvania. Large etched "stencil" numbers are GE.
