reduced light output 845's

ok, this may seem silly but my wife thinks the 845 output tubes in my amp are too bright ... not too bright in SOUND but in GLOW
so what 845's are out there which produce a limited amount of glow??? I know the KR's are one, but they are quite $$$. Any others???
