6A4 sound great in driver duty wired as a triode, also very good as a pentode input/driver in a 2 stage amp.If you can put up with the low power they are good for 3/4 watt output SE in triode mode or 1.5 watt SE in pentode, a bit less with either ultra linear or partial feedback from the plate back to the driver(like the Gary Pimm PP 47 amp). The output transformer I used had an 8K primary impedance.
