Has anyone ever tried useing 6A4 or type 47 tubes as triodes? After reading about Gary Pimm's PP 47 amp on his site, I have suddenly become intrested in these directly heated pentodes.
I have picked up a few 6A4's and some 47's off ebay and am trying
to get some ideas as to what to do with them.
These are beautiful tubes and look like they should work well as
triodes.
Maybe an all, directly heated pentode amp that can be switched to
all triode mode?
Anyone have any thoughts on this.
