I was feeling a little froggy regarding the "Fisher" 12AX7s in my phono stage, so I popped for a trio of the GTs. Sound is good from the box, not appreciably different from my old stock, perhaps a little shiny on the top end, but overall good extension and decent mids. Anybody with some time on these tubes assessed how they fare in 40-50 hrs, and which direction they take?
