845's & 211's have very different properties and cannot easily be interchanged in an output stage, ie they are not a direct replacement. The Rp on a 211 is approx twice as high and therefore requires a higher load resistance, meaning a different output transformer or at the very least, a different tapping. The mu is also more than twice as high and the grid bias required on a 211 is somewhere near -50V compared to -140V. So if the bias was set for a 211 it would cook an 845.

I have used both tubes and I have my own views on sound quality. From my experience I prefer 845's which, which in fact are my favourite tube and IMHO sound fuller without loss of extension.

I am not familiar with this particular amp and its configuration. What are the four tubes used for? Did you mean Regulator instead of Rectifier? I could help more if I had access to a circuit diagram.
