Circuit board is more repeatable, less builder dependent, component location doesn't vary from sample to sample, hence easier quality control, which is why a lot of manufacturers use it. Point to point theoretically has less solder joints, the close-to-ideal dielectric (air) near the components versus the circuit board material. My impression is with modern fiberglass boards or expensive teflon boards heat aging is not a problem but a manufacturer, e.g. Victor Khomenko, can speak to that more authoritatively. Maybe a circuit board will break more easily if you're doing constant tube changes but most people don't do that.
