I am also new to tube amps and bought a Cayin A88T. It is a great sounding amp. Smooth and rich yet detailed across the frequency range.Which speakers do you own? They should not be extremely inefficient. What type of music do you listen to? How large is your room? All these factors will determine the sound.
The Cayin drivers my Dyn 82s well in a large room. However, it does not plumb the lowest depths like my Krell integrated used to do.
