I tend to be more sensitive to absolute polarity than most. The only discs that I find are phase correct are the reference recordings. Early Chesky's are okay but everything after JD 63 (the Kenny Rankin) is inverted in polarity. The Dennis Drake Mery reissures are correct, and then after he was replaced they become inverted, although I haven't checked all of them. Virtually every Columbia is inverted, as well as their LP's ( so are most Philips and DDG's). Funny though, I notice that dual layer SACD's have the SACD layer phase correct and the CD layer inverted.YMMV, but that's the way I hear it on my system. Of course I've had to modify my speakers to insure they were all phase aligned also.
