For my CAT Ultimate preamp, I find I am changing the 6922 and 12AX7 tubes every year. The present brand-new Bugle Boys, recommended, I think, by Dick Olsher, are very good, but I am intrigued by some of the NOS stuff. Particularly since I just put four Pope Philips Holland 6SN7's in the driver stage of my VAC Renaissance Signature 70-70. Six times the price of the Harmonix they replaced, but worth it,even after only one day of break-in.
