Not all speakers follow the convention that positive electrical polarity on the "+" terminal of the speaker produces the compression portion of a wave front (cone moves out of the box).
As noted below, software tends to be kind of random WRT polarity esp if the music is good (Holt's law applies more often than it should). The whole thing can become an exercise in futility.
