The buffer pair were matched, not balanced.(Too early, not enough coffee) I did not plan to try a set of non NOS tubes. One of my favorite dealers recommended I try them, and they were cheap.I now want to try the good Sovteks. I am beginning to think one needs to try best new production tubes before investing in NOS. I am also now using the GT E34LS tubes in my Cary V12R and am very pleased.
