Don C.,I'm interested in why you're so set against a the SP-10, as I haven't heard of someone taking the effort to say they didn't like it and so vehemently.
You feel strongly- why?
I know a few SP-10s have electrocuted some children and pets, blown up and blinded their owners, and burned down their houses - and soon after $1100 repair bills, but I don't think 8 or even 23 incidents in 11 States, should sour the whole reputation. The phono section HAS been worth the many lives and Millions of Dollars it's claimed over the years, but, say, if you're not ready for the SP-10 buddy- if the gain is too much for your cartridge, if you burned your fingers trying to find a 7308 quiet enough,if the tubes seem a little too expensive at $100 each: maybe you're either too old or too young or: "you'd better return to your home fast and sit up late with your precious CD's!" ***
***A quaint old Dutch curse, except in the 17th Century Dutch version, "CD's" was originally: "Cheap Hooker".
Really, Don, what's the story?
Cheers,
Bambi B
