Tubes Asylum Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ |
|
I just picked up some Brimar 13D5 tubes off of A'gon and had a listen to them last night. I let them warm up for a couple of hours in my Quicksilver M60s and then played some of my test material. Wow! They have more detail in them without the harshness or sibilence I normally find with detailed tubes. I am really quite pleased with them and am going to get a couple more sets for backups. My other two favorite tubes in this position are the Mullard CV4003, and RCA 12BH7.This seems like an odd tube as there was very little I could find on them by googling. Maybe a dozen hits on our database. Does anyone else have experience with these tubes?
