Patience sir...patience....keep up the hunt.I've scoured the garage sales and estate sales for 15+ years and have found some very nice tube pieces, and tubes themselves.
McIntosh MC275 ampo and C22 preamp
Scott 222c integrated amp and 370B tuner
Fisher TX-600 reciever
Heathkit WA-5 (I may be slightly off on the model...it's not in front of me)
Lincoln model something am/fm stereo FM multitplex tuner
Newcomb K-1000 PA ampsOn the solid state side: literally a ton of great stuff:
Dynaco A-25's (2 pair)
KLH 17, 20
Acoustat electrostatics 1+1 and Spectra 11
AR2a and AR2ax
Adcom 555 II amp
Adcom 555 II and 555 preamps
Denon 6600a monoblocksThe list goes on, and on....
I know some of it is due to the area I live in (Syracuse, NY)...dencely populated, older and newer homes and folks...and it's an area where a LOT of people conduct sales.
As a result, I have a museum filled with antiques, vintage and modern stereo, art, etc. etc..... ...I rarely go shopping in a store for anything anymore.
Likie I said...keep up the hunt...you wil score.
